Miles Henderson (b. 1993, Wilmington, Delaware) is a Brooklyn-based photographer and recent graduate of the International Center of Photography's Documentary Practices and Visual Journalism program.
His work is driven by a deep curiosity about culture, community, and the Black Experience. He explores how people come together, what holds them there, and how those bonds reflect our shared humanity. Thematically, his work centers on family, both chosen and inherited.
Through environmental portraiture, Henderson documents how culture is created, transmitted, and sustained over time, particularly in places not traditionally seen as worthy of documentation. In the overlooked ways people gather, perform, and build meaning, he believes any environment can become a stage that reflects the values and creativity of the community forming there.
